Anyone can have hemorrhoids and it can happen anytime. But most susceptible to it are those who are pregnant; are obese; are of old age; those who have a low fiber diet and; those who have anal sex. So what causes hemorrhoids and what be done to get rid of them?

Hemorrhoids are something which occurs when a vein or veins in the anal canal have become inflamed. Sometimes these inflammations are ruptured and can then become infected. These inflammations happen because of too much pressure on the lower rectum which is caused by constipation, diarrhea and sitting too long on the toilet.

When someone has suffers hemorrhoids, they should ask for medical help in getting rid of them. If it’s not that serious, an over the counter cream, a suppository or an ointment will be enough. However, if it’s serious, sclerotheraphy is advised. This endovenous treatment is also used for spider vein. But if it can be helped, it would be better to go with suppositories, or something which you pop into your mouth. Much better though if what causes hemorrhoids can be prevented.
