The Schumann’s are perhaps the best known couple in the Classical music world. Schumann robert and Schumann Clara were almost never married, as Clara was the daughter of a man with whom Robert was engaged in legal dispute when the two met. But the two eventually were married and had eight children. They also both composed Classical music in the Romantic period style and left behind hundreds of much loved compositions. The two also influenced the work of Brahms who studied under them both. And the two fought the effects of mental illness on both Robert  and at least one of their children. Like that child, Robert’s life ended by suicide while in an asylum.

Robert schuman composer has been widely acclaimed for his influence on Classical music of his time, the so-called Romantic period of classical music. His influence in part was made on the strength of his ability to experiment and innovate with various musical styles. And it was in part attributed to his prolific nature. He left behind a body of hundreds of compositions, including more than 150 songs written for the piano in a single year of his life. All of this work was completed while raising a family of eight and battling a mental illness that eventually left him institutionalized at age 44. Two years later, he took his own life while in the asylum.

Born Clara Wieck in 1819, about nine years after her famous husband, Robert, clara schumann enjoyed renown her time as a classical pianists and composer. Her father had fought furiously to keep her from marrying Schumann, with whom he was in a legal dispute at the time, but in the end, the young couple successfully sued for the right to marry. Clara’s considerable talent and reputation at her time was accentuated by the circumstances of her life. Four of her eight children died before her, as did her husband, who took his own life while in an asylum. One of her children also committed suicide while institutionalized. She was forced to be the major source of income for her family, and maintain a schedule of performance and composition.

Beethoven became know in Vienna as a virtuoso pianist, and later brilliant composer.While in his twenties, Beethoven’s hearing began to seriously deteriorate. However, this did not impede his ability to continue to perform at the piano, conduct and compose. His final complete symphony, Symphony No. 9 (Ode to Joy), was written well after he completely lost his hearing.

The foremost musician from the Democratic Republic of Congo is without a doubt Lwambo Luanzo Makiadi, aka Franco. Franco was born in 1938 in the village of Sona-Bata, Congo, and died in Belgium in 1989.Franco’s love for music articles was developed early and by the age of seven he had used a tin to make himself a guitar. That homemade guitar, despite its being totally rudimentary, was used by the young Franco to entertain during soccer matches. He later, at age 11, got a real guitar and later started performing at night clubs. By the time of his death, he was known all over the world.

Bruton Music was founded in 1997 and took its name from the street where the company was founded: Bruton Street in London. The company’s founder, Robin Phillps, who had left ATV music to start the venture. The company is formally known as the Bruton Music Library, and began as a subsidiary label to ATV. The company was, at one time, owned by the late pop music icon Michael Jackson. Bruton music has reportedly maintained a strong cult following over the years, and continues to be downloaded digitally, in particularly among those who follow electronic music and hip. Bruton’s artists include Francis Monkman and Brian Bennett.
