Last Thursday when I was at work, my mom called me to ask me if I knew anything about buying an Add On Pellet Furnace. I told my mom that I didn’t know that much about them, but I was sure that my husband, Ken, would know about them. I told her she could ask my husband about them when we came to her house for dinner on Friday night. I told my mom that I knew that the pipes and propane would need to be hooked up correctly, but she would have to talk to my husband to get exact details on how to do that.

My wife and I have been talking about working on the front of our house and yard to give it some curb appeal, but until recently, all we did was talk about it.  I imagine we would have continued like this if my wife hadn’t taken matters into her own hands.  I had to go out of town for business and my wife called a contractor to install new front interest doors.  When I returned from my trip, I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement.  Now I have to make the landscaping look as good as the entrance to the house does.

We have decided to redo our daughter’s bedroom so we have been looking at Children’s Ceiling Fans. I was really surprised at the variety of colors available for kids’ rooms. I really hadn’t paid that much attention. She wants an Alice in Wonderland type room so we thought we  take the colors off of the tea party. We thought we would paint the room in a pastel color and see if we could find a pastel colored fan. We did some search and found a Harbor Breeze fan that had some wonderful color options and also a good price. Plus the replacement fan blades aren’t that expensive.

There are several applications where industrial ceiling fans are necessary; a patio, a machine shop or in homes with high vaulted ceilings. Industrial ceiling fans work best outdoors because of their special outdoor ratings. It is very important for the internal parts of a ceiling fan avoid rusting; with consistent exposure to moisture a standard ceiling fan would not last but a few weeks. Industrial fans also carry more air. When sitting on your patio on a hot summers day, the last thing you want to do while attempting to enjoy the day is sweat profusely. The same goes for a machine shop. Air is often non moving or stagnant. A large industrial fan can move the air around keeping the temperature somewhat bearable. Vaulted ceilings require a large blade ceiling fan due to the height the air must travel from. 

There are many ways to give your home’s interior a fresh new look, but nothing works as well as new flooring.  There are many different types of flooring to choose from including ceramic tile, vinyl, cork, bamboo, and wood.  Each kind of material has its benefits, but every one might not be right for your home.  For example, if you have small children, you might want to think twice before installing real hardwood flooring.  Cork flooring or ceramic tile might be more suitable in this situation.  Carefully consider the needs of your family and how much maintenance you’re willing to do to keep your floors beautiful.

The last time I let my sister move in she said that I needed new cabinets. I was a little offended, but the harder I looked at them, the more I realized that she was right. My Kitchen Cabinets are really old! I guess I was so busy I that I just did not notice. I am ready for a change, so I am going to start looking for a new set very soon. I am hoping for a lighter wood, the ones that I have now are really dark. Anything will be nice for a change, and I know I am ready for a change!

When I got my first wood stove it was a fuel efficient Danish stove called a Morso. I got it because I had lived in Scandinavia for a few years and appreciated the quality and craftsmanship of their products.

Because I had no experience heating with wood I did not realize that you cannot burn green wood in a wood stove, especially one of these cast iron beauties!

Soon, I had creosote dripping out the seams of the stove pipe and running down the outside. The smell was awful and it was really dangerous.

Oh well, you have to start someplace when you are Heating With Wood.

Harbor Breeze’s Bella Vista Ceiling Fans, model number E BE44ABZ5C, have a tri-mount option for more flexibility. It is priced at $69.94 and features 5 reversible blades, a 3-speed reversible motor and 3 lighting fixtures. The fan measures about 44” and has an aged bronze/dark oak finish. It is only for indoor application and it is not Energy Star qualified. With a tri-mount fan, you can install it close to the ceiling if you have a low ceiling clearance. We are getting ready to put new siding on our house. We are thinking that we will probably be buying simulated stone siding since I think it will make the house more appealing and plus it is the fraction of the cost of real stone siding. that being said, the estimate still has to come in with a reasonable price. I have been doing a lot of research on the internet and there is a lot of information available that is really useful. It’s not just fluff. There are a lot of sales going on right now and some even offer free estimates. Now that’s a good deal!

Your Air Conditioning, humidifying, cleaning and heating systems are only as good as their filters and maintenance.
