I don’t want to be an old fuddy-duddy but the worst part of taking a any trip is spending the night somewhere and finding one of those oversized foam pillows on the bed especially when I’m tired from travelling. They are simply the most uncomfortable thing imaginable. I can live with the strange mattress and sheets and the who knows what that has been in the bed before but come on those pillows should be against the law. I prefer not to take my own pillow from home but with the state of affairs being what they are in so many hotels and motels that I’m left with little other choice.

My husband and I recently went to dinner at a new restaurant in our area. It had outdoor seating and since it was a very nice day, we thought that we would take advantage of the nice weather and sit outdoors. We were having a nice conversation when I noticed how comfortable the Restaurant Patio Furniture was. It was made out of resin so that it could withstand the weather. But there were firm, yet soft pillows or cushions on the furniture that were perfect. I actually felt like I was at a resort of on vacation. We will go back.

Sometimes, the best home remodeling ideas are those that are the least obvious. This means that you have to pay attention to your house utilities such as your electrical wirings and pipelines. Look for different ways that you can tweak them so that you can make your home more pleasant.  You should also take the time to look for appliances that will fit your newly remodeled house and bath shower curtains perfectly. You don’t have to replace all of your old appliances though. All you have to do is dispose those that are no longer needed and retain the elegant ones and still functioning.

I am the kind of person that really likes to collect things. I have seen some sundials and grandfathers that I would really love to buy, but I need to make sure it is in the budget. Maybe once I have some choices, I will try it.

On Saturday I went to Santa Barbara for the day with my good friend Rachel who was going to visit her mother. I have known the family for many years so I often go up there with Rachel. While we were over at Rachel’s mom’s house I wasn’t really too surprised to see that she had gone ahead and had bought the Tabriz Persian Rugs she had seen the month before. The rugs really made her front room look so lovely. We spent most of the day talking with Rachel’s mother in the living room. Around five the three of us went to dinner.

It has always been a dream fo mine to collect flip clocks. I have had a a few  that I have had for probably 10 years so I am anxious to really get going with a great collection and maybe even turn my hobby into something that will make me some extra money as my family could really use it. I have been doing a lot of research on the internet and there is a lot of information available. There are a lot of sales going on right now and some even offer free shipping. Now that’s a good deal!

Our apartment is very affordable, but cramped. Until we can save enough money to buy a house, we are finding creative ways to make the space we do have work. We got a bar height table that folds flat against the wall and bought Folding Bar Stools to put away in the hall closet. That way, there is more space for living and we are not bumping into things constantly during the hustle and bustle of the day. We also have one of those Murphy beds like you see in old sitcoms and movies. I know it sounds strange, but I think I’ll miss this place.
