The rattan hanging chair has long been enjoyed as a pleasant way to sit and enjoy one’s surroundings. These chairs are suspended from the ceiling or from above in a tree when outdoors, and thus provide a sense of being gently held when sitting in them. Rattan chairs are often found outdoors and can hang from porch ceilings, trees or some other structures. Some also come with their own hanging structure. In many ways they are like a hammock in that they are suspended, can swing, and encourage a reclined posture. The only difference is that you are sitting up in them.
