Aerion chairs came on the market in 1994 and quickly gained a name for itself. Not long after the chair was introduced to the market it began appearing in many television shows and in movies as well, helping to spread its popularity. The Aeron chair reset the expectations for office furniture design standards. Prior to 1994, office chair design had not made many strides, dating back a century or more. There was little new on the scene in terms of office chairs. But after this chair caught on and became the official office chair of the dot.com office space, many have signed on for its unique features, comfort and unique styling.
